Is the animal I'm seeing dangerous?

Most wildlife in our region — raccoons, opossums, squirrels, snakes — are not aggressive unless cornered or threatened. That said, any wild animal can bite or scratch if it feels trapped. The safest approach is to keep your distance and call us. We'll assess the situation and let you know what you're dealing with.

I found a snake in my home. What should I do?

Don't try to handle it. Keep people and pets away from the area, note where you last saw it, and call us immediately. We handle both venomous and non-venomous species safely. Trying to remove a snake yourself — especially if you're unsure of the species — is how most bites happen.

Question 3

There's an alligator in my yard or pond. Is that an emergency?

It depends on the situation. An alligator that is actively approaching people or pets, or is in an area where it poses an immediate risk, should be treated as urgent — call us right away. An alligator that is simply resting near a pond may not require immediate action, but we can assess and advise. We are licensed for nuisance alligator removal in both Georgia and South Carolina.

I hear noises in my attic or walls. What could it be?

Scratching, thumping, or chattering sounds in attics and walls are most commonly raccoons, squirrels, or rats. The time of day can help narrow it down — raccoons are typically active at night, squirrels during the day. Don't wait on this one. The longer wildlife is in your attic, the more damage they cause to insulation, wiring, and structure.

Do you use poisons or lethal traps?

Never. We use only humane live traps and relocation methods. Poisons are dangerous to pets, children, and non-target wildlife, and they often create secondary problems (like a dead animal in your walls). Every animal we catch is relocated alive to appropriate habitat.

Where do you relocate the animals?

We follow Georgia DNR and South Carolina DNR guidelines for relocation distances and appropriate habitat. Animals are released in areas where they can thrive and where they won't simply become someone else's problem.

Will the animal come back?

If we only remove the animal without addressing how it got in, there's a good chance another animal will find the same entry point. That's why we strongly recommend pairing removal with exclusion work — sealing entry points so the problem doesn't repeat. Our exclusion work is backed by a warranty.
